Robbie Williams Concert - brendiskis review

Robbie Williams Concert ~ The first one

It was August 1, 2003. I travelled to London to see Robbie Williams, totally LIVE!...
Unbelievable, Great, Amazing, Breathless!.. That was exactly what I felt when I was there, surrounded by thousands of people to see Robbie's show. I was there!.. I dreamed about it so much and it became real...I was in Monterrey when I used to watch MTV and heard his songs. I liked his personality so much that it caught me immediately. Thought that he was handsome as well, but his voice and power liked a lot that I started downloading the songs from the internet and learning the lyrics by heart. I knew only a few people that fancied him. And I thought, when will be the time that I will see Robbie Live. I would love to be in one of his concert. And then I thought... mmmh!, maybe he's never coming to Mexico.. It will take ages!. Then, the opportunity came when I travelled to Sweden. I hit Europe in the summer 2003 and I had got the news that I was going to get I month holidays, so. I started looking for some places to visit and then, tadan!.. Robbie Williams concert!... started browsing in the internet, and found his homepage. The concert dates were already announced, Sweden was in the list, Stockholm was the host, but a constraint: Tickets sold out!.
Nooo! then I kept searching, maybe Germany was my next target. Nothing. Then, London: 3 dates opened. August 1-3, more possibilities!...Perfect!!! So I attempt to buy the ticket in that moment, but first I thought, maybe some friends would like to come along!.. By that time I had already got some good mates: Ana and Pancho, so I invited them to go with me to the concert. They hesitated at the beginning but in the end they accepted to go with me, although not to the concert, but to London only. I thought, that's all right! I just need some company and I will go to the concert alone, I have already been in lots of them before, although from other artists, and one other concert in Europe would not be a catasrophe! So and I decided to buy the ticket online!...August 1st was the date!... yohoooo!. Some days later, I received the ticket at home.
Next step. Tickets with Mister Jet. Really Cheap!! (my God, why did't we have the same thing in Mexico?, thought to myself!) and everything was settled! I was going to the concert!!!... I was going to see Robbie Williams Live, in London, in one of the most important concert venues, where Oasis, Rolling Stones, and Queen had performed before! In one of the most expected concerts in London, Coool!

July 31st. I prepared evrything to travel to London. Ana and Pancho had already travelled there. I was joining them after the concert. Got to Heathrow Airport. Amazingly huge! Sebastian was also with me. He joined in the last moment. So I had very good company. Hit the London's train station, lots of people going to the same place: Knebworth Park. The more we walked, the more people joined along the way. We were finally there.

The openers: The Darkness (stravagant), next Kelly Ousborne (puke), and then Moby (cool). After that ROBBIEEEEEEE! It was amazing.I was there in the middle of the place. I was not so close, but who cares! It was Robbie's concert. I was present there! Lots of english girls around me. Did not talk to them that much. I screamed, jumpled, clapped, and almost cry of happiness! Took a lot of pictures, although not with a digital camera. He sang incredibely good live. He gave an excellent show and the big screens and special effects added a great touch!

Robbie showed up in the concert

He sang all my favorites ones. In that moment it was Hot Fudge the one that I liked the most! I went crazy when I heard it. I was so happy. He also mentioned that he was amazed as well and that he had never seen that amount of people before.

In those concerts, Robbie was supposingly breaking some records: The concert with more people in his career, plus it was the most people gathered in a concert at the Knebworth park and also it was said that it was the first concert to be transmitted live in England. And I was there in the middle of that crowd... That summer. That day!!!

The crowd

He came back a couple of times after the people screamed claiming for another song. Gave his final bow, and left. People also started to leave the venue, me with them. Now I had to find Sebastian. Took a while until we found each other in that sea of human beings. Finding the way to get back to the city of London was really hard, but who cares.. I had been at the Robbie Williams concert. It was unforgetable. I thought to myself; I hope to see him again.
